Hardware processing technology precautions

Hardware is processed by bending technology, which has the advantages of large size range and complex shape, and is widely used in fishing gear, electronics, toys, bags and other industries. However, the hardware processing technology is relatively complicated, in order to ensure the bending effect, please pay attention to the following points during processing:

The number of processes in hardware depends on the complexity of its structural shape, including the number of bending angles, relative position and bending direction. When the bending radius is less than the allowable value, an additional shaping process needs to be added to correct it.

The number of processes in hardware is related to the material properties, drawing height, number of drawing steps, drawing diameter and material thickness. This must be determined by a deep drawing process calculation. When the corner radius of the deep-drawn parts is small or the dimensional accuracy requirements are high, a shaping process needs to be added after the drawing is added to modify.

The determination of the number of processes should also take into account the existing mold making capacity and stamping equipment status of the enterprise. The mold-making capacity should be able to meet the requirements of mold processing and assembly accuracy. Otherwise, you can only increase the number of operations.

When the cross-sectional quality and specifications of metal products require high precision, a cutting edge process can be added after the blanking process or a high-precision blanking process can be selected.

In order to improve the stability of the precision bending process, it is sometimes necessary to increase the number of processes to ensure the quality of the hardware. For example, additional positioning holes are added during the forming process to punch and reduce deformation areas.

For blanking hardware with simple shapes, it can be done with a single process mold. Due to the limited construction or compressive strength of the abrasive, for complex blanking styles, it is recommended to design a multi-pass stamping die in multiple parts.
